The PADI Open Water Diver course is the world’s most popular scuba course, and has introduced millions of people to the adventurous diving lifestyle.
If you’ve always wanted to get a scuba diving certification, discover new adventures or simply see the wondrous world beneath the waves, this is where your journey begins.
This is a beginner level course, therefore you don't need any previous diving experience to take this course.
Upon completion, you will be certified to dive with a buddy to a maximum depth of 18 metres.
The PADI Open Water Course typically takes 3-4 days and at the end you have an internationally recognized license that allows you to dive anywhere in the world.

Option 1 (normal course) - Can be completed in 3 full days minimum (or more if required).

Option 2 (Pool sessions & theory in KL / Open water dives in Perhentian) - Can be completed in 1.5 days minimum on Perhentian (or more if required).

What is E-learning?
If you are short on time (2 days) or would like to maximize your time in the water then it is possible to complete the PADI Open Water Diver Theory class online before you arrive and just focus 100% on the practical part of the course here.
The main benefit of eLearning is that you can do it in your own time and in the comfort of your own home, so that by the time you come to Perhentian to
complete the rest of your course, there will be no more reading, quizzes or exams to do.
The cost to register for eLearning is AUD220. We will reduce the cost of the course when you come and do the in-water portions with us.
Overall, this is a more expensive option but it will save you a lot of time when you come to the island.

To sign up for Option 1, Option 2 or Option 3, all you need to do is pay a MYR 200 deposit via Paypal or Maybank transfer (if in Malaysia).
We provide a mixed gender basic FREE FAN DORM ROOM BED for 3 nights with the course (subject to availability and not recommended for families and couples). Meals are not included.
To confirm your space for the course and the dorm, you will need to pay the deposit of MYR 200 for the course AND YOU MUST LET US KNOW that you would like to book the dorm. Otherwise, we will assume that you have booked your own accommodation.
If you are not taking up our free dorm option there is no discount on the course price if you choose to stay in other accommodation.
You will also have to make your own arrangements if you wish to stay elsewhere.
You can also stay almost anywhere on the island and dive with us as we have a complimentary pick up and drop off service around most of the accommodation on both Perhentian Besar and Kecil.

Boat transfers can be booked through us for MYR 60/person return (Kuala Besut - Perhentian - Kuala Besut). The journey time is around 35 minutes.

course, you need to wait for at least 18 hours before boarding the flight to prevent decompression sickness.

1. There are no ATMs on the island - make sure to bring enough cash for your daily expenses. Some places on the island offer a cash back service with credit card at a high rate of 10%.
2. We would prefer cash payment for our services. We also accept Paypal payments at a 5% surcharge
3. If you are planning on buying an internet package from a local SIM provider, we would suggest getting Maxis Hotlink, since it has the best connection on our beach.
4. Boat tickets - the return journey from Perhentian back to Kuala Besut jetty is open ended. The ticket is valid for any date.
5. Boat transfers depart from the island to Kuala Besut only at 8am, 12pm & 4pm and the journey time is 40 minutes to one hour. Do take note of this if booking flight tickets leaving.

Course Location
We conduct the skills portion of the course in shallow water on a calm beach and will go to deeper water (maximum 18m) 4 times during your course and take you to see some of the beautiful sites and underwater life Perhentian has to offer.
